First off, I would have liked to have been able to make this post with a video attached, but both the pictures I had filmed, either the footage got corrupt, or I have no idea what music should go along with it.
So, I may be able to get a hold of a video for one of them and post it later.
And without further ado, here are my two most recent pictures, taking a very wide turn to color, and realizing just how much I hate coloring black people. (Non-racist, I'll describe that later.)
This was the one I wanted to film but most of the footage got corrupted so that just went boom and bust. Nevertheless, this was my final, and last, art project I'll do in high school, and I'm fairly proud of it. It was first a sketch in my agenda scanned in and digitally inked, and all done in GIMP, I only used three colors for each rose, four including the inking on each. The whole idea was to go from colder to warmer colors, but obviously I deviated from that a bit.
This was just a gesture drawing to start out with, and the whole idea I wanted to get down was the face paint, which you can't really even see in detail, but, I still had fun with it.
So here's why I didn't enjoy entirely the making of this pic, is because her skin is so dark, I could barely see a thing of her until I added lighting, which is usually one of my last steps!
But I do like how it turned out, out of everything to experiment with a medley of colors, and to get the character down on paper.
Traditional sketch, digital coloring on GIMP, and I do have a video of the making of this but I don't have any decent music to put with it.
I'll post it when I get to it, probably after graduation, any questions, just ask.
And would I suggest seeing at least the second painting up close? Most definitely.
